Safety on the internet (posted by janice)

"The Internet offers handy ways to share photos of children. Gone are the days of mailing individual reprints for each relative and friend. Now they can all instantly see images at once. However, others with less innocent motives than grandparents can also see the photos of children." from brighthub.com

....... and this is why it is a good idea to keep them private – share only with family and friends or add a digital watermark when you do post things online.

Homemade Play Dough (posted by roselle)

CHILDREN LOVES TO create things and play with their imagination. Play doughs are great tools to such activities that will help your child's creativity and self expression.

You can use play-doughs to teach toddlers colors, shapes, and how-to-count. Daniel used to make balls and just round objects with his Play-Doh. Then later on, he had learned to cut weird shapes using a plastic play knife, and cookie cutters. But most of the time his Play-Doh becomes dirty from rolling and kneading on the floors, and it gets dust easily. So I just have to throw them away.

Play-Doh's are not that expensive, but having to buy-and-then- trash them out often, is quite impractical. Anyhow, it is easy to make home-made play-doughs. There are a lot of ways and recipes on how to make your own play doughs. And here's mine;

Ingredients
• 3 cups of flour
• 1 cup of salt
• 1 cup of water
• 2 tbsp salt
• Food coloring (optional)
Tools
• A mixing bowl
• Cookie cutters
• Rolling pin or long wine bottles(emptied, of course)

Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Add oil slowly. Then water gradually, until you feel it is right. Add drops of coloring. And knead thoroughly.

Put in a zip lock bag or a plastic container in your fridge when not use. This will last for a week. Spoiled doughs should be properly disposed.

FrozenYogurt Vs IceCream (posted by roselle)

Last Sunday, we happened to pass by the recently opened Golden Spoon (at the Shangri La Mall). We tried on different flavors on regular cups. There were so many flavors to choose from, and yummy toppings, too. Daniel just loved it.

He loves ice cream, gelato, and our personal-favorite the Nestle Fruit Yogurts that we would literally put on the freezer to froze. Well, they 're all frozen desserts but different from one another. Gelato is a variety of ice cream though, that's made denser by a different process. And often doesn't have eggs on the mixture.

As we were enjoying the flavors, husband and I were discussing on which is healthier; Ice cream or the Frozen Yogurt?

So when we got home I made my research.

Well, it'll all come down to this: " what is too much, is evil." Let's just be watchful of our diets, esp of our little ones.

Kids grow like weeds (posted by janice)

Every year since my son Kaden was 4 months old, we have his photo taken with Santa. I love to see how much he has changed and grown compared to the year before.

Another cool idea is to take a photo of your baby every month or year wearing a similar outfit and next to the same stuff animal or toy so you can have a comparison on how much your baby is growing.

Below are photos by artist and owner of Pink loves Brown, Nicole Bach of her baby on the same chair every month.
